BankPDFtoXLS vs DocuClipper: Which Statement Converter?

How BankPDFtoXLS and DocuClipper compare for converting bank statement PDFs: trying them, paying, what you download, and which suits whom.

BankPDFtoXLS and DocuClipper both turn bank statement PDFs into spreadsheets. They are built for different people, so the better one depends on what you convert and how often. This page compares them as each one describes itself in October 2026. Prices change, so check both pricing pages before you decide.

The short answer

  • Choose DocuClipper if you run a bookkeeping practice that converts invoices and receipts as well as statements, wants files for QuickBooks Desktop or other formats such as QBO and OFX, or wants transactions categorised for you.
  • Choose BankPDFtoXLS if you convert bank statements now and then, want to see the result on your own statement before you give an email address, want to pay for one statement rather than a subscription, or want every balance checked and the rows that do not add up marked.

Trying it

BankPDFtoXLS converts page one of any statement free, on the home page, with no account, no email and no card. You see the rows and the balance check at once.

DocuClipper offers a 14-day free trial of up to 120 pages, with no credit card, after you create an account.

Paying

BankPDFtoXLS has three ways to pay: the pages of one statement, a pack of pages bought once that never renews, or a plan by the month or the year. The pricing page has the prices, and how to choose explains them.

DocuClipper sells plans by the month or the year, with unlimited users. Its pricing page lists:

Plan Monthly Pages a month
Starter $20 60
Business $111 640
Enterprise $360 2,000

Paid by the year, each costs 30% less a month.

What you download

BankPDFtoXLS DocuClipper
Excel and CSV Yes Yes
A file Xero and QuickBooks Online import Yes, a CSV Yes
QBO, IIF, OFX, QFX, QIF No Yes
Sends to QuickBooks or Xero directly No Yes
Every balance checked in the download Yes, a Ledger column See their site
Scans and photos Yes Yes
Invoices and receipts No Yes
Transactions categorised No Yes

BankPDFtoXLS keeps the columns your bank prints, and adds a Ledger column that checks each balance against the row before it: ok, filled where the bank printed no balance, or break where a figure does not add up, so you know which rows to look at. The file for Xero and QuickBooks Online has every date in full and one signed amount. Why a balance breaks.

DocuClipper exports more formats and connects to QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and Xero, and its higher plans add financial analysis, team management and an API.

Your statements

BankPDFtoXLS deletes the PDF as soon as its conversion finishes. The privacy policy says how long the spreadsheet is kept. No person reads your statement, and nothing is used for training.

DocuClipper describes its own security and retention on its site.

Which one suits you

If you are a firm converting hundreds of documents a month into accounting software, DocuClipper's plans, formats and integrations are built for that. If you have a pile of statements to get into Excel, or one statement for a mortgage or a tax return, BankPDFtoXLS lets you check page one free and pay for what you convert.

Try it on one page first.

Page one of any statement converts free, before an email address or a card.
