What you can use it for
Bookkeepers and accountants
A client sends a year of PDFs instead of a bank feed. Convert them, post the rows, and start with the ones marked.
Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent
Fill in the months your bank feed missed, with a file your software already imports.
Tax returns
Total the tax year's income and costs from the statements, for your return or your accountant.
Landlords
See every rent payment, and total the agent's fees, repairs and insurance for each property.
Mortgage applications
Read your income and regular payments the way the lender will, before you send the statements.
Budgeting
Sort a year of payments by payee and total them by month, to see where the money went.
See every use case, including reconciliation and financial disclosure.

From PDF to your accounting software, without retyping a row
A bank feed only goes back so far, and some accounts never had one. Convert the statements instead, and import them as the bank's own file.
- Excel workbook
- Money as numbers that add up, one sheet per account, and the Ledger column on every row.
- Xero
- Date, description and a signed amount, in the format Xero's bank statement import reads. How to import into Xero
- QuickBooks Online
- The same file, with day-first or US dates to match how your company is set up. How to import into QuickBooks
- FreeAgent
- FreeAgent's own bank statement layout. How to import into FreeAgent
- CSV, for everything else
- Every column the statement printed, as plain text for a spreadsheet or a script.
On the Standard and Plus plans, and on the free trial, you get the Xero, QuickBooks and FreeAgent files with most whole statements. The Lite plan gives Excel and CSV. If a statement's dates have no year, or its amounts cannot be signed, you get Excel and CSV only, and we tell you why on its row.
Password-protected statements convert too
Many banks send statements as PDFs with a password. Drop it in as it is. We ask for the password, use it only to open the PDF, and convert it like any other.
- Never kept. We use your password once to open the PDF, then forget it. We never store, log or share it.
- No other tool first. You do not need to remove the password in another app before you upload.
- Wrong password? We tell you, and you can try again. We do not count any pages until the PDF opens.
Your statement stays yours
A bank statement says a lot about you. Here is how we protect yours, from the moment you drop it in until we delete it.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Your connection to us always uses TLS 1.2 or newer. We store your PDF and its spreadsheet encrypted with AES-256, under a key our database never holds, and we encrypt every backup.
Kept no longer than it is needed
Before you sign up, we keep a statement for 1 hour for you to sign in. Once it is in your account, we delete the PDF as soon as its conversion finishes, whether it succeeded or failed, and the spreadsheet and the file's name after 1 hour.
Read by no person
Our conversion is automated. No person reads statements you upload, and we never use them to train anything, share them or sell them.
Only your browser can open it
A statement you drop here before you sign up comes straight to us, encrypted. Only the browser you dropped it in can open it. If you do not sign in within 1 hour, we delete it and what we read from it.
No password, and no card number
You sign in with a passkey, or with a one-time code or link we email you, so we hold no password of yours. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach our servers.
A record you can read
We record your sign-ins, uploads and downloads in an append-only audit trail that no query can rewrite. You can see them on your Activity page.
Try it on 15 pages, free
Drop a statement in, and you see its first page converted before you sign up. When you sign up, you get 15 pages free, once, with no card. On the trial, we convert up to 5 pages of each statement, so a short statement converts whole. When you need more, pick a plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Drop your statement in, and you see its first page converted before you sign up. When you sign up, you get 15 pages free, once, with no card. On the trial, each statement uses at most 5 pages, and never more than your trial has left: we convert its first pages up to that limit. The trial ends when you start a plan.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Drop your statement in, and we convert up to its first 5 pages and show you the first page that has transactions. Only the browser you dropped it in can open it. To download the spreadsheet, sign up or sign in. If you do not sign in within 1 hour, we delete the PDF and what we read from it.
How is it priced?
By the page, on a plan. Each plan gives you a number of pages a month, or a year, and our pricing page lists what every plan includes.
Can I import the result into Xero, QuickBooks Online or FreeAgent?
Yes, on the Standard and Plus plans and on the free trial, for most statements. With a whole statement, you get a file that Xero's bank statement import and QuickBooks Online's upload both read, and one in FreeAgent's layout. If a statement's dates have no year, or its amounts cannot be signed, you get Excel and CSV only, and we tell you why. The Lite plan gives Excel and CSV.
Which banks' statements can you convert?
Most banks whose statements print the transactions as a table with a running balance. If yours does not convert, send it to us: we look at every one, and we can add most layouts.
Can I convert scanned statements and photos?
Yes, as a PDF. Save the scan or phone photo as a PDF, and we read it with text recognition, then check it the same way. We cannot take an image file on its own, such as a JPEG.
My statement PDF has a password. Can I still convert it?
Yes. Drop it in as it is, and type the password when we ask for it. We use it only to open the PDF, and we never store or log it. We do not count any pages until it opens.
What does "every balance checked" mean?
We work out each row's balance again from the row before. The Ledger column says ok where it agrees, filled where we worked out a figure the statement left blank or we could not read, break where it does not add up, and unchecked where a figure is blank or unreadable and we could not work it out.
How accurate is it?
Because we check every running balance against the row before, a missing or misread figure shows up in the Ledger column, not in your totals. You check only the rows it marks, not the whole statement.
Can I convert my clients' statements?
Yes. Convert each client's PDFs, then download Excel or the import file for their books. Each statement is its own conversion, with its own download.
Do I need to install anything?
No. You use it in your browser: drop the PDF in, sign up or sign in, and download the result.
What happens to my statement?
We store it encrypted. If you drop it in before you sign up, and do not sign in within 1 hour, we delete the PDF and what we read from it. Once the statement is in your account, we delete the PDF as soon as its conversion finishes. We delete the spreadsheet after 1 hour. No person reads statements you upload, and we never use them to train anything.
My statement has several accounts. What then?
You get a sheet in Excel for each account, and an import file for each.
What if my statement does not convert?
Send it to us from the contact page. We look at every one, and we can add most layouts.
See your own statement converted
We read every row, check every balance, and give you a file for your spreadsheet or your books.
