BankPDFtoXLS for financial disclosure

The short answer: Convert each statement for the period you must account for, download Excel, and paste the accounts into one workbook to total. Ask your solicitor what to attach, and send the original PDFs with it when they're asked for.

  • We check every running balance, so a missing or misread row shows.
  • We read the statements of most banks, scans included.
  • If you take a plan, you can cancel it any time.
Drop your statement here PDF up to 25 MB. Scans and photos saved as PDF, and password-protected PDFs, work too.

What a pile of statements becomes

  • One workbook for every account. Each account gets its own sheet, so current, savings and joint accounts stay apart.
  • Balances you can show. We check every running balance and mark each row in the Ledger column, so you will not miss a gap in the rows.
  • Totals to quote. Sort and sum the rows for the figures a form asks for, such as a balance on a date or regular payments out.

How to prepare statements for disclosure

  1. Download every statement for the period from each bank as PDFs. A scanned paper statement saved as a PDF works too.
  2. Drop the first one in the box at the top of this page, and we show you its first page converted.
  3. Sign up to download it. You do not need a card: your free trial converts 15 pages, so you can check the result before you pay. Then take a plan, and upload the statements in your account one after another.
  4. Download Excel. Check any row the Ledger column marks break against the PDF.
  5. Copy each account's sheet into one workbook, one sheet for each account.
  6. Add a summary sheet with the balance of each account on the date the form asks for.
Account Balance on 31 March
Current account 1,842.36
Joint account 615.90
Savings account 12,400.00
Total 14,858.26

Sample figures, not a real statement.

What a form asks for, and in what format, depends on the case. In a divorce in England and Wales, Form E asks for statements for each account. Your solicitor can tell you what to send and how.

Questions

Can I attach the spreadsheet instead of the statements?

Ask your solicitor. A court or the other side can ask for the statements as the bank gave them, so keep the PDFs. The spreadsheet makes the figures easier to total and to read. It does not replace the statements.

I am an executor. Can I convert the statements of an estate?

Yes. We convert any account's statement the same way. Take a plan, then drop the statements into your account.

How many pages will it use?

Each page of PDF uses one page of credit. Lite gives you 500 pages a month for $29 USD, Standard 1,250 for $59 USD, and Plus 5,000 for $99 USD. An annual plan gives you the year's pages at once.

Who sees the statements?

No person reads statements you upload. We encrypt the PDF. Once the statement is in your account, we delete the PDF as soon as it is converted. We keep the spreadsheet for a while, then delete it too. If you drop a statement in and do not sign in, we delete it. Our privacy policy says what we keep, and for how long.
